We are seeking a Dairy Automation Engineer to join a global leader in dairy management solutions. In this role, you will deliver high-level technical support to customers and dealer networks across Victoria, ensuring the successful installation and performance of advanced dairy technologies. You will also play a key role in training and mentoring dealer technicians, building their capability across our clients’ product portfolio through hands-on support and engaging technical presentations. With a strong background in IT systems and WiFi-enabled hardware and software installations, you will act as a trusted technical expert, diagnosing and resolving complex issues across the business and dealer network. This position suits someone who is technically strong, has a strong knowledge of the dairy sector, is practical in their approach, and is comfortable working independently. Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive remote and onsite technical support for the portfolio of products, including after-sales assistance to regional sales managers and dealers
- Conduct technical training sessions for dealer technicians and support staff to strengthen their understanding of product hardware and software
- Enable effective knowledge transfer by ensuring dealers’ technical and support staff gain a thorough understanding of the product, including both hardware and software
- Provide pre-sales technical support to sales teams and dealers, promoting collaboration and identifying opportunities to increase sales
- Participate in global support team training, technical service activities, and special projects as assigned by management
- Participate in Global Technical Service activity and provide technical support to customers outside of Australia as needed
- Provide timely reports as required by the region’s management
Requirements
Skills you will need:
Essential:
- A minimum of three years’ practical experience providing technical service and support for multidisciplinary hardware and software systems
- Highly organised, able to manage own diary and prioritise workloads
- Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging effectively with a wide range of audiences
- The ability to deliver presentations for training purposes, relaying technical information both in person and online clearly and effectively
- Self-motivated and driven to consistently deliver outstanding customer service
- Technically minded with a practical, solutions-focused approach
- Strong leadership qualities, able to lead installation teams effectively
- Collaborative team player with the ability to work independently and take initiative
- Full, clean driving licence with a willingness to travel as required
- A strong technical background in WiFi systems, specifically within IT / Networking and Windows environments
- Valid passport
Desirable
- Experience and/or knowledge of the dairy sector
- Experience in dairy farm working environment
