The role:

Reporting to the Store Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing our dairy/freezer department and the daily operations. You'll take pride in delivering a department that is well merchandised whilst not compromising on quality. You'll thrive on exceeding KPI's in sales, shrinkage and GP, whilst maintaining our standards in customer service and safety.

Your key responsibilities:

• Accurately control stock, pricing and inventory

• Maintain a high standard of merchandising, ensuring shelves are stocked and isles are clean

• Follow internal processes and policies with regards to stock rotation, shrinkage and markdowns

• Assist Store Manager to supervise store operations ensuring the store runs efficiently and safely

• Provide excellent customer service, resolving concerns promptly and professionally

• Ensure high standard of food safety

What you'll need to succeed:

• Minimum 1+ years of supermarket experience required, ideally in dairy/freezer or perishables departments

• Strong organisational skills with the ability to effectively delegate tasks and carryout decision making

• Well-developed customer service and communication skills

• Strong, inspirational leadership skills, be passionate about maintaining a positive work environment.

• Proactive attitude with the ability to react and adapt quickly

• Confident attitude with a respectful and warm approach

• Reliable, responsible and able to work independently

• Able to work a Tuesday to Saturday roster

• Comfortable in a cold environment and able to lift up to 20kgs as required

• Australian work rights required for this position
