Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Dairy Technician / Pasteuriser Operator to join our Pasteurising Department. This is a key hands-on role within our production team, responsible for batching and pasteurisation processes while ensuring strict compliance with food safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
About the RoleThis is a practical, on-the-floor position involving pasteurisation, batching, and associated dairy processing activities. You will work with a semi-automatic and manual systems, requiring sound technical knowledge, mechanical confidence, and a strong understanding of dairy manufacturing processes.
This role suits an engineer, experienced operator or technician who takes pride in quality, consistency, and safe food production.
Training in-house will be provided.
Key ResponsibilitiesOperate, monitor, and control pasteurisation and batching processes
Assist with daily production planning and execution
Ensure compliance with QA, GMP, HACCP, and food safety requirements
Maintain clean, organised, and audit-ready processing areas
Follow all SOPs and work instructions
Identify issues, troubleshoot equipment, and support continuous improvement
Meet production targets while minimising waste and downtime
Proven experience as a Pasteuriser Operator, Dairy Technician, Cheesemaker, or similar senior technical role within food manufacturing
Minimum 2 years’ experience in dairy or food processing (essential)
Strong mechanical aptitude and confidence working with processing machinery
Solid understanding of batching, pasteurisation, and quality systems
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work effectively in a team environment
Physically fit and comfortable with manual tasks and standing for extended periods
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Degree, Diploma or trade qualification (advantageous but not essential)
Knowledge of QA systems, GMP, HACCP, and manufacturing principles
