Coal River Farm is an award-winning Tasmanian artisan cheese house, celebrated for exceptional craftsmanship and uncompromising quality. As our reputation continues to grow, we are seeking a skilled and passionate Cheesemaker to join our boutique production team.
The Role
Reporting to the Head Cheesemaker, you will play a key role in crafting our signature cheeses, ensuring every batch reflects the elegance, consistency, and excellence that define the Coal River Farm name.
Key Responsibilities • Produce handcrafted artisan cheeses in line with established recipes and standards • Uphold exceptional quality and attention to detail throughout production • Maintain premium hygiene, food safety, and GMP practices • Support packing, presentation, and general dairy operations • Work closely with the Cheese Team and contribute to continuous refinement of processes
About You • Passion for fine food and artisan craftsmanship • Previous experience in cheesemaking or premium food production preferred • Strong work ethic, reliability, and pride in your work • Ability to work hands-on in a small, quality-driven team
